We want to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture. To do this, we are investing in solutions and community partnerships that improve access to healthy food, address food insecurity and improve employment skills.

Swiping Out Hunger

Aramark has a partnership with Swipe Out Hunger, a national nonprofit seeking to promote high-impact, innovative solutions to address hunger on campus—including programs to donate unused meal swipes.

Minimizing Food Waste

Aramark donates surplus prepared food to hunger relief agencies in our communities whenever possible, including partnering with colleges and universities to divert waste from landfills. We're proud to be recognized by the US EPA and the USDA as a Food Loss and Waste 2030 Champion for our commitment to reduce food loss and waste in our operations by 50 percent by 2030.

One third of the world’s fisheries have been fished beyond sustainable limits, according to the Marine Stewardship Council. We strive to buy seafood from sources that sustainably and ethically procure seafood without damaging ecosystems and endangering workers.

Aramark is promoting innovative menus that feature an array of plant-forward, climate-healthy, sustainably sourced ingredients from reputable suppliers.

No Deforestation

Aramark collaborated with Green Century to develop a robust no-deforestation commitment to be implemented by 2025 which includes No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation (NDPE) sourcing practices, including legal deforestation.
